What is a Dialysis Center?
A Dialysis Center is a healthcare facility that provides dialysis treatment to people whose kidneys cannot adequately filter waste and excess fluid from their blood.
These centers provide dialysis services to help manage kidney disease and support patients who need regular treatment.

Every category of data we have for Dialysis Centers, and every filter inside it. You can also use the Search Filters bar to quickly find a specific filter or field.
A dialysis center is a healthcare facility that provides dialysis treatment to people whose kidneys cannot adequately filter waste and excess fluid from their blood. Most patients have end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and need regular treatment, often several times a week, so centers serve a steady, recurring patient population.
In-center hemodialysis filters the blood with a dialysis machine at the facility. Home hemodialysis uses the same approach at home after the patient is trained, and peritoneal dialysis uses the lining of the abdomen to filter waste and fluid. You can filter Dialysis Centers by whether they offer in-center HD, peritoneal dialysis, home HD training and late-shift services.
Dialysis centers rely on equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, EHR and clinical software, staffing and services, and they report detailed quality data to CMS. Knowing a center's services, station count, quality performance, ownership and technology helps you focus on centers that fit your offering. Because many centers belong to a chain, some decisions may be made at the chain or organization level.
ESRD Networks are regional organizations that work with CMS to monitor and improve the quality of care for patients with end-stage renal disease. There are 18 networks, each covering a set of states or territories. You can filter Dialysis Centers by network, and each profile shows the network number and the states that network covers.
It is a CMS rating from 1 to 5 stars that summarizes a facility's performance on a set of quality measures compared with other facilities. You can filter by star rating, and each profile shows the rating, its reporting period and the related data availability code.
They compare a facility's reported result on a measure, such as mortality, hospitalization, readmissions or transfusions, with the result that would be expected for its patients. Not Available means there is not enough data to classify the facility. You can filter by these classifications in the Quality Metrics category.
The ESRD QIP is a CMS program that links part of a dialysis facility's Medicare payment to its performance on quality measures. Facilities that do not meet performance standards can receive a payment reduction of up to 2%. Each profile shows the ESRD QIP reporting date, and Quality Programs (Core Compare) gives access to datasets such as ESRD QIP Complete QIP Data.
Yes. Use the Chain Owned filter to find chain-owned or independent centers, and the Chain Organization filter to search by name, such as DaVita. Large dialysis organizations operate a large share of U.S. dialysis facilities, so chain ownership is an important way to segment the market.
Yes. The Technology & Intent category lets you search by technologies detected in a center's tech stack, such as Epic or Cerner, by EHR vendor, and by organizational intent keywords. Technology data reflects what has been detected and may not be a complete inventory.
No. Intent keywords show topics an organization has been researching or showing interest in. They are a reason to investigate, not proof of an active purchase, approved budget or buying timeline.
Use the Organization Profile filters to search by state, city or ZIP code, then add a radius of 25, 50, 100, 300 or 500 miles, or choose All. You can also search by facility name or web address, and narrow by number of employees.
It is Intent.Health's internal unique identifier for each dialysis facility. You can use it in the Identifier category to find a specific facility quickly and consistently, including when matching records with your CRM.
Intent.Health helps healthcare businesses research and engage the U.S. healthcare market. It connects 30 organization intelligence modules, including Dialysis Centers, with Executive Intelligence, HCP Intelligence, Decision Network, intent signals, propensity analysis and Ishi contextual AI.
